Is the chiniese and Vietnamese wedding dresses the same?

I'm getting married and my fiance is half vietnamese so we are searching for a vietnamese wedding gown but I couldn't find any nice ones ..but i found some nice Chinese gowns instead...for tradition do they wear the same type of dress?
