Singing Lessons- 10POINTS!?

Hey there.
I'm 13 and i really want to become better at singing. I've written tonnes of songs, but i know i sound pretty average.
I play guitar, piano and sax and so would really love to purse my dreams to be a singer/songwriter.

But i don't have the confidence to ask someone to help me. I rekon it's really embarassing. Do you think if i finally got the courage to ask someone, that they would've had some pretty shocking students?

Also- do they really help you at all? Does it make a difference to your voice or confidence?

It absolutely makes a difference. You have to be born with a talent to work with, so by this I mean that I don't believe you can "learn" to sing well, but if you are born with something to work with, lessons make all the difference in the world and improve your voice, strengthen it, and helps with your breathing.

And as far as this person having "shocking" students (I'm assuming you mean really good singers?) it would depend on who the person is of course.
