Modern and vintage twist?

Right now, I am wearing a sort of 1960's hairstyle and I really like it but I don't know how to work it with modern apparel. I's wearing sort of a poof at the top and straight hair at the bottom and I need help on how to work it. Examples of other vintage hair with modern clothes in photo form are appreciated. Thanks!
