Whats a good place to buy a "little black dress" and other dresses?

I have Snowball coming up and i need a cocktail dress, and for the life of me, i can't find a good place to buy dresses, i tried Macy's and Nordstroms, but neither of those places have what i need.

Along with a cocktail dress, i need a "little black dress" for parties, family things, etc. Ive been wearing the same 2 dresses to everything. The one dress was from Black & White, but i can't afford that again, and the other one i borrowed and it doesn't fit anymore
