What do you think about those websites where you can rent luxury handbags?

It seems kind of pathetic to me, but I guess people do it and I remember on Sex and the City (movie), Jennifer Hudson's character had a rented bag (and Carrie ended up buying the same bag for her as a gift). Got me thinking....what is this about? Why do we feel the need to put on a facade? I have absolutely nothing against a woman who can actually afford a $2000 Gucci bag. Awesome for her. My problem is with those who can't afford it, but want to build up a fake persona.

Bunny-Exactly! I don't think a $400 is considered 'shabby' by any stretch of the imagination....

Its a good concept I actually signed up on one of the sites but never rented anything. For the $300 or $400 i would spent to rent it I can buy a really nice new bag in the store!
