Butler Purse

Has anyone ever made a purse with one of Amy Butler's pattern books?

In my research, I've read her patterns are good for beginners. I have never sewn before, nor do I own a sewing machine. I was inspired after watching Martha Stewart's show today where she & the girl from "Ugly Betty" made a no-sew bag. It was sooooo cute! I'd love any help you can offer....Thanks

I love Amy Butler's book In Stitches. It has tons of fun projects and patterns. I've been sewing for a few years, but I hate patterns and generally make my own if I use them at all. Her instructions are very step by step and easy to follow. I would recommend it for a beginner. It's been awhile since I looked at it, but I think there is also a glossary that clarifies any terms that you might be unfamiliar with. Good luck and have fun!
