Bridesmaid Designer Dress

I have 9 bridesmaids and the best man is a woman. It would be very difficult to coordinate all 10 to go and order the bridesmaid dress I picked together. So I gave them all then designer, style # and color (black with red sash) and asked they order on their own. Should I worry about the colors not matching?
Actually yes. What most bridal shops do is hold the order. So let's say Bridesmaids 1-3 go in to order the dress in Feb. Bridesmaids 4-6 order in March and Bridesmaids 7-9 order in April. They will place the whole order in April to ensure everyone gets the same dye lot.
This is especially obvious in bright colors. Not so much with iridescent colors as the colors already have the multiple color effect.
The only time this is a problem is when the wedding is in June and one of the bridesmaids (and with 9 this is likely to be your problem) hasn't ordered when the due date comes. They can't hold the order past one Last Chance date. Do your bridesmaids live all across the country? I've heard about this happening with stores in the same state but I don't know if they hold it for stores all across the country since shipping time would be different.
Lighter bright colors (like yellow and orange) tend to have the most problems with that. More so is the fact that it shows up in the pictures and not so much on the actual day. My friend used canary yellow and hates her pictures since the color difference stands out sooooo much.
Honestly though, with black it probably won't be an issue. The red might be but as it's just a small sash I don't think it will look different enough to be noticeable.
